Set in the stunning Burren area of Co. Clare this coastal garden has amazing views from all angles.

The clients brief was simple; a pollinator friendly garden with oodles of texture and colour that was sympathetic to the surrounding landscape.

Organic meandering gravel pathways take you on a journey around this garden with generous boundary and island planting beds edged with local random rocks. Each bed is slightly mounded to create the illusion of little hills drawing the eye towards the seashore beyond. While the view is never fully concealed the different views of the wider landscape  are revealed as you traverse the pathways.

No traditional mown grass areas are included in this project and a native wildflower meadow extends up the steep slope to rear of the garden connecting with the ancient burren landscape and the carved out rock formations in the distance.

It’s not everyday a brief like this lands on your desk and so we spent hours tweaking plant selections and combinations to get this final composition that we are truely proud of.
